Not a good blogger!

Well, I am discovering I am not very good at keeping this blog up to date but I am going to try harder, I promise!

We are back into routine now, with K at work, Ava at day care and me at work 2 days. The routine is down pat and seems to run quite smoothly and everyone is happy, except K as he has to work 5 days, unlike me. he he.

I wanted to include some recent shots of Ava to show you how Dora mad she really is. This is her wearing her Dora singlet sitting in her Dora lounge. Daddy went shopping up the coast with her last weekend while I was getting my nails done and she came back with a Dora necklace and ring just to fuel the addiction a bit more. Great.

We have submitted our next house plan to the builder and it is currently getting drawn up. We are happy with the layout and have a good idea of what we want the outside to look like. Hopefully something like this.

 

I managed to get some scrapping time this weekend, a few of my creations and a pic of some fabric I purchased yesterday. Not sure what I will make yet or whether I will sew it onto my scrapbooking pages.

Ok better go and do some housework......not to exciting.

Holidays coming to an end.....

Well, its that time of year when all the teachers are starting to head back to school, including myself. Thankfully it is only for 2 days a week. So my last few days of freedom are coming to an end. I have had one looooong holiday.

Ava has been going to day care for the past two weeks. I was a little worried about her seperating from mummy but she was a very good girl and didn't even cry on the first day. She loves it, which makes it easier to go to work.

I did a bit of scrapping over the break and here are just a few of my recent layouts. Let me know what you think.

Dora, Dora and more Dora!

Well, I am starting to think that Ava is becoming a little obsessed by the lovely little Dora figure. It is pretty much the first word that comes out of her mouth when she wakes up and the last word when she goes to bed. 

Anyway, today we decided to feed the obsession by taking her to see the Nick Jnr promo in the city featuring a huge Dora and show. She was a little freaked out at first but soon started to get into it.  We met cousin Paris and Aunty Davina there.

Of course, what was a trip to the city without a purchase or two. Two new pairs of shoes for Ava. Too cute to leave behind, plus she really needed them!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year and welcome to my blog. I have been reading a lot of other blogs lately and thought it would be cool to have my own, so here it is.

Well it is the dawn of the New Year and sadly we are staying home. How things change when you have a little on. All grandparents ( the babysitters) are out for a night on the town so we are staying put.

Today we ventured out to the shops to have a look, and yes, of course I scored a bundle of new things for Ava and I. The best purchase was a CASIO Baby G watch.

Kendall got a camo green one for Christmas, and I managed to wrangle one for no reason at all!!! 

I also bought a new hat and a drink bottle to motivate myself for my new exercise plan in 2008. 

Ava got some new clothes and drink bottles for day care which she starts shortly. 

And Daddy got nothing.

This year I have taken to scrapbooking in a big way. I have just entered my first competition. Here is my entry.
